Brokerage is charged per executed order, so a buy and a sell are two orders. An order that fills in several parts on the same day counts as one order at most brokers. Charges on top of brokerage are set by the government, NSE and SEBI and are the same at every broker:
| Charge | Delivery | Intraday | Futures | Options |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| STT (securities transaction tax) | 0.1% on buy and sell | 0.025% on sell | 0.05% on sell | 0.15% on sell (of premium) |
| NSE transaction charges (incl. IPFT) | 0.00307% | 0.00307% | 0.00183% | 0.03553% of premium |
| SEBI fee | ₹10 per crore | ₹10 per crore | ₹10 per crore | ₹10 per crore |
| Stamp duty (buy side only) | 0.015% | 0.003% | 0.002% | 0.003% |
| GST | 18% on brokerage and charges | 18% on brokerage and charges | 18% on brokerage and charges | 18% on brokerage and charges |
Checked 11 October 2026: STT from 1 April 2026 (NSE circular FATAX73524, as published by Zerodha); NSE transaction charges and IPFT (Zerodha support)
How the calculator works
It applies Angel One’s brokerage rule to the buy order and the sell order separately, adds STT, NSE transaction charges, the SEBI fee and stamp duty at the rates above, and adds 18% GST on brokerage, exchange charges, the SEBI fee and DP charges. For delivery sells it adds one DP charge. Tap Compare all brokers to see the same trade at 4 other brokers.
